Alpha amylase derivative enzyme for removing starch based sizers and its blends, (PVA, CMC, acrylate).
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
AMILASE FREDA NUEVO works selectively on starches, breaking them down into soluble products, (dextrin’s, sugars, etc.).
AMILASE FREDA NUEVO has its maximum activity at 70 ºC., which makes it very appropriate for working in cold by pad batch or by exhaustion at 60 – 70 ºC.
– Desizing of fabrics sized with starch and its blends, by the following methods:
- a) Exhaustion in dye beck, jet, jigger (in which case AMILASE AT NUEVO is the most appropriate).
- b) Semi continue. Pad batch processes. It is also possible in continuous with pad roll and pad steam, although it is better to use a more heat stable enzyme such as AMILASE AT NUEVO.
Appearance: Dark brown liquid with a characteristic smell.
Chemical character: Bacterial Alpha amylase enzymes.
Dissolution: Cold water at any ratio.
pH: Maximum efficiency at pH 6 – 6,5.
Temperature: Maximum efficiency at 60 – 70 ºC.
Hard water: Calcium ions favour enzyme activity.
Acids: Up to pH 5,5.
Alkalis: Its activity is reduced. Appropriate until pH 8 – 8,5.
Electrolytes: CINa presence favours enzyme efficiency.
Metals: Copper and Iron ions are toxic for enzymes.
Non ionic wetting agent: Generally very good.
Anionic wetting agent: Some products can reduce enzyme activity.
